Hip 522 ROSE TO FAME — $195,000

Hip 522, stakes winning juvenile Rose to Fame, sold for $195,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The chestnut filly was purchased by Amy N. Moore from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

A two-year-old by second-crop sire Gemologist, Rose to Fame has two wins in two starts this year, including a win in the Brave Raj S. at Gulfstream Park. She has earned $85,380 to date.

Rose to Fame is a half-sister to three other winners, including multiple graded stakes placed winner Dazzling Gem. She is from the immediate family of champion Honor Code and Grade 1 winner Sophisticat.

Hip 500 UPPER ROOM — $225,000

Hip 500, stakes placed winner Upper Room, sold for $225,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Phil Bongiovanni/F. Lyons, agent from the consignment of WinStar Racing, agent.

A three-year-old son of Harlan’s Holiday, Upper Room has won or placed in six of seven starts, and has not been off the board this year in five starts. He was second in the Parx Derby at Parx earlier this year and has career earnings of $57,990 to date.

Upper Room is a half-brother to two other winners out of the stakes winning Not For Love mare For Royalty: Grade 1 winner Constellation and stakes-placed winner Back Flip. Second dam is stakes winner Taft Little Queen, a full sister to stakes winner Irish Cherry, who produced multiple Grade 1 winner Spun Sugar. Second dam also produced champion El Viento and Grade 2 winner Kiss to Remember.

Hip 496 TOTAL TAP — $180,000

Hip 496, stakes placed winner Total Tap, sold for $180,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Toby Sheets, agent from the consignment of Gainesway, agent.

A three-year-old son of Candy Ride (ARG), Total Tap is a two-time winner who was second in the Prairie Mile S. at Prairie Meadows and third in the Northern Spur S. at Oaklawn Park earlier this year. He has earned $116,600 to date.

Total Tap is the first foal out of the winning Tapit mare Easy Tap, a half-sister to graded stakes winners Til Forbid and Hold Old Blue and stakes winners Cinch and Red and White, as well as to Coragil, dam of graded stakes winners Softly and Coragil Cat.

Hip 484 SOMETHING ELSE — $275,000

Hip 484, stakes winner Somethingelse, sold for $275,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The chestnut filly was purchased by Robert Masiello and West Point Thoroughbreds from the consignment of Four Star Sales, agent.

A four-year-old daughter of Lesroidesanimaux (BRZ), Somethingelse has four wins in her career, including a victory in the Ginger Punch S. at Gulfstream Park earlier this year. She has placed in three other stakes and earned $207,040 to date.

Somethingelse is the first foal of the winning Maria’s Mon mare Gamecents. That mare is a half-sister to stakes winner Cohiba Miss, who produced multiple stakes winner Lady Cohiba. She is from the immediate family of Horse of the Year A.P. Indy; champions Lemon Drop Kid and Gay Mecene; Grade/Group 1 winners Wolfhound and Summer Squall; and Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise.

Hip 468 MY SWEET STELLA — $222,000

Hip 468, stakes placed winner My Sweet Stella, sold for $222,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The bay filly was purchased by D. Wayne Lukas, agent from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A three-year-old daughter of Eskendereya, My Sweet Stella is a two-time winner who was second in the Dixie Belle S. and Martha Washington S. at Oaklawn Park earlier this year. She has earned $137,966 to date.

My Sweet Stella is out of the winning Songandaprayer mare Megalicious, a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Abbondanza. Her second dam is stakes winner Katie McLaury.

Hip 462 MADE YOU LOOK — $190,000

Hip 462, multiple graded stakes winner Made You Look, sold for $190,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Three Chimneys Farm from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

A three-year-old colt by More Than Ready, Made You Look won the G2-With Anticipation S. at Saratoga at two and won the G3-Dania Beach S. at Gulfstream Park earlier this year. He has earned $270,797 to date.

Made You Look is the first foal of the Unbridled’s Song mare Night and Day, a daughter of champion and multiple Grade 1 winner Serena’s Song. Serena’s Song also produced Group 1 winner Sophisticat; graded stakes winners Grand Reward, Harlington, and Schramsberg; and stakes winners Serena’s Tune and Serene Melody. She is from the immediate family of champion Honor Code.

Hip 458 LADY ALEXANDRA — $375,000

Hip 458, stakes-placed winner LADY ALEXANDRA, sold for $375,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The bay filly was purchased by Heider Family Sales from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

This three-year-old daughter of More Than Ready has three wins from six starts in her career. She is a winner at two and three and was third in the Ginger Brew S. at Gulfstream Park earlier this year. She has earned $150,250 to date.

Lady Alexandra is out of the King’s Best mare Lophorina (GB), whose dam is the world-trotting Nureyev mare Flagbird, a Group 1 winner in Italy, Group stakes winner in France and Ireland, Grade 1-placed in the United States, Group 2-placed in England, and a winner in the United Arab Emirates. She is from the immediate family of Horse of the Year and exceptional sire Mineshaft, Grade 1 winner and Broodmare of the Year Prospetors Delite, and Grade 1 winners Tomisue’s Delight and Runup the Colors.

Hip 455, Kathy’s Song sold for $190,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The bay filly was purchased by David Meah, agent from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A three-year-old by Candy Ride (ARG), Kathy’s Song is a half-sister to three other winners, including stakes-placed winner Distillery. A two-time winner, Kathy’s Song has earned $65,210 to date.

Kathy’s Song is out of the A.P. Indy mare Strawberry Sense, a full sister to graded stakes winner Scipion and a half-sister to champion Vindication and stakes winner In Step, dam of Grade 2 winner Hemsworth. Her second dam is graded stakes winner Strawberry Reason, by Strawberry Road (AUS).

Hip 451 INSTA ERMA — $290,000

Hip 451, stakes-placed winner Insta Erma, sold for $290,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The bay filly was purchased by David Meah, agent from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A four-year-old daughter of Pioneerof the Nile, Insta Erma is a two-time winner who was second earlier this year in the Lady Canterbury S. at Canterbury Park. She has earned $153,452 to date.

Insta Erma is a half-sister to seven other winners, including stakes winner Mordi’s Miracle, who is graded stakes placed, and graded stakes placed winner Emmajestic. Her dam, graded stakes placed winner Enchanted Woods, by Woodman, is a half-sister to stakes winner Grand Appointment. She is from the immediate family of stakes winners Donerail Court, Advancing Star, Darby Fair, Souvenir Copy, and Dance Sequence.

Hip 440 HAPPY MESA — $525,000

Hip 440, multiple stakes winner Happy Mesa, sold for $525,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The dark bay or brown filly was purchased by Out of This World Racing from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A three-year-old filly by Sky Mesa, Happy Mesa won the Selima S. last year at two and captured the Hilltop S. at Pimlico earlier this year. She has earned $168,055, with three wins and two seconds in eight career starts. She is a winner on both dirt and turf.

Happy Mesa is the first foal of the stakes-placed winner Happy Choice, by Broken Vow, a half sister to stakes winner No Use Denying. She is from the immediate family of champions Chris Evert, Chief’s Crown, Winning Colors, and Grade 1 winners Classic Crown and Tap Dance City, and Missed the Storm.

Hip 423 DISTINTA — $600,000

Hip 423, Grade 2 winning distaffer Distinta, sold for $600,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The chestnut mare was purchased by Medallion Racing from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

A five-year-old by champion Summer Bird, Distinta won the G2-Inside Information S. earlier this year and was recently second in the G2-Princess Rooney S., both at Gulfstream Park. She is a four-time winner of $346,715 to date.

A half-sister to four other winners out of the Storm Cat mare Miss Kitty, Distinta is from the immediate family of Horse of the Year Dr. Fager and graded stakes winners Judge T C, Zanetti, and Desert Clearance.

Hip 419 CLOSING BELL — $185,000

Hip 419, Grade 1-placed stakes winner Closing Bell, sold for $185,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The bay or brown horse was purchased by Preferred Equine, agent from the consignment of WinStar Racing, Agent.

A five-year-old by three-time leading sire Tapit, Closing Bell won the Dueling Grounds Derby at Kentucky Downs at three and was second in the G1-Secretariat S. at Arlington Park. He placed in the G2-Muniz Memorial H. at four, and is a winner this year at five. He has earned $558,114 to date.

Closing Bell is a half-brother to six other winners, including Grade 1 winner Mani Bhavan and Grade 2 winner Hear the Ghost. His dam, the Coronado’s Quest mare Rehear, is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Turkappeal, dam of graded stakes winner Pink Champagne and stakes winner Z Appeal.

Hip 411 BRONSON — $275,000

Hip 411, stakes winner Bronson, sold for $275,000 at the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale. The gray or roan colt was purchased by Three Diamonds Farm from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A three-year-old by Medaglia d’Oro, Bronson is the winner of this year’s English Channel S. at Gulfstream Park, and was recently runner-up in the Not Surprising S. at the same venue. He has earned $142,310 to date.

Bronson is a half-brother to four other winners, including Grade 2 winners Moulin de Mougin and Schiaparelli and multiple stakes winner Alexis Tangier. His dam, graded stakes winner Cambiocorsa, is a full sister to multiple graded stakes winner California Flag.

Hip 403 ADORABLE MISS — $585,000

Hip 403, multiple stakes winner Adorable Miss, got the July Selected Horses of Racing Age Sale rolling early when sold for $585,000 as the third horse through the ring. The bay filly was purchased by Bluewater Sales, agent from the consignment of Elite Sales, agent.

A three-year-old by Kitten’s Joy, Adorable Miss is the winner of this year’s Martha Washington S. and Honey Rider S. at Gulfstream Park, and boasts earnings of $151,590 to date. A three-time winner in four starts, this talented young filly have never been off the board.

Adorable Miss is a full sister to graded stakes winner Noble Beauty out of the Mineshaft mare Money Huntress, a daughter of Grade 1 winner Favorite Funtime.
