Hip 640 Glory (Tapit) – $300,000

 

Glory, a multiple graded stakes-placed winning daughter of Tapit, sold for $300,000 to Abdullah Saeed Almaddah as the last offering of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The five-year-old mare was offered as a racing/broodmare prospect by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Fox Hill Farm.

Glory is from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Dress to Thrill (IRE), Free Eagle, and Vert de Grece. She won three times and earned over $200,000 for owner Fox Hill Farm and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.

 

 

 

Hip 622, 2017 Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed Sale

Hip 622 Playmates Arch (Arch) – $210,000

 

Playmates Arch, a full sister to Grade 1 winner Archarcharch, sold for $210,000 to T. Ocampo, agent for Silesia Farm during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. She was offered in foal to Carpe Diem by James B. Keogh’s Grovendale, agent.

A full sister to Grade 1 winner Archarcharach, this four-year-old Arch mare is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Balance of Power and graded stakes winner Run Sully Run. She is carrying her first foal by Carpe Diem, multiple Grade 1 winning millionaire of more than $1.5 million, whose first foals arrive in 2017.

Hip 616 Bahama Halo (More Than Ready) – $200,000

 

Bahama Halo, stakes-placed winning daughter of More Than Ready, sold for $200,000 to Town & Country Farm during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The three-year-old racing/broodmare prospect was consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

A winner at two, Bahama Halo earned $82,847 in eight starts for owner Let’s Go Stable and trainer Todd Pletcher. She is out of the Grade 2-placed winning Empire Maker mare Bahama Bound, herself a daughter of Grade 2 winner Summer Wind Dancer.

 

 

Hip 611, 2017 Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed Sale

Hip 611 Dr. Zic (Milwaukee Brew) – $185,000

 

Dr. Zic, a Grade 1 winner in foal to multiple G1 winning millionaire Constitution, sold for $185,000 to Calumet Farm during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The 11-year-old broodmare was consigned by James B. Keogh’s Grovendale, agent.

Winner of the Madison S. (G1) at four, Dr. Zic earned more than $365,000 during her five-win career. She is foal to Constitution, a Grade 1 winning son of Tapit whose first foals are weanlings of 2017.

Dr. Zic is from the immediate family of Champions Northernette, Storm Bird, and Pas de Response, and Grade 1 winner Green Tune.

Hip 604 Sastrugi (Bodemeister) – $165,000

Sastrugi, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Morning Line, sold for $165,000 to Robert E. Courtney, Jr. during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The three-year-old racing/broodmare prospect from the first crop of G1 winner Bodemeister was consigned by St George Sales, agent.

This to-date unraced filly is a half-sister to Morning Line, a G1 winner and multiple graded stakes-winning earner of more than $1.25 million. His first foals are two-year-olds of 2017. The immediate family further includes Grade 2 winners November Snow and Bounding (AUS).

Sastrugi was bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm.

Hip 492 c. Uncle Mo – Infliction (Stormy Atlantic) – $172,000

Hip 492, a yearling colt by successful young sire Uncle Mo, sold for $172,000 to Artic Bloodstock during the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The bay colt was consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent.

This short yearling is the first foal of the winning Stormy Atlantic mare Infliction, a half-sister to Grade 3-placed stakes winner Rock Candy. The colt hails from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Seattle Meteor, Pleasant Stage, Marsh Side, Changeintheweather, and Declassify.

Hip 492 was bred in Kentucky by TNIP, LLC.

Hip 345 Cinnamon Spice (Candy Ride-ARG) – $700,000

Cinnamon Spice, a winning daughter of Candy Ride (ARG), sold for $700,000 to International Equities Holding early in the second session of the Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale. The six-year-old was offered as a racing/broodmare prospect by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Fox Hill Farm.

Cinnamon Spice won four of nine starts and earned $144,820 for owner Fox Hill Farm and trainer Larry Jones. She is a half-sister to Grade 1 winning juvenile Violence, whose first foals are two-year-olds of 2017.

Cinnamon Spice’s impressive female family includes Champion Sky Beauty and Grade 1 winners Maplejinsky, Tale of Ekati, Pleasant Home, Point of Entry, and Pine Island.
