Hip 1236, a filly by current Leading Freshman Sire UNION RAGS sold for $170,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut filly, named ST. BERNIE, was purchased by Fox Hill Farm (Tom McGreevy, agent) from the consignment of Burleson Farms, agent.

This filly is a half-sister to 10 winners, including graded stakes winner WISHFUL TOMCAT and stakes winners UNCLE T SEVEN, LUCKY LEWIS, and ZETTERHOLM. She is also half-sister to WICKED WISH, dam of graded stakes winner RATED R SUPERSTAR. She hails from the immediate family of G1 winner PAPAL POWER and graded stakes winners BETTY’S WISH and SILVER HAWK.

Hip 1236 was bred in New York by Anthony Grey.

Hip 1214, a colt from the second crop of current Leading Freshman Sire UNCLE RAGS sold for $280,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by Midwest Thoroughbreds from the consignment of Darby Dan Farm, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to two winners, including G1 placed stakes winner UNCLE LINO. The dam HAYSEE is a daughter of Broodmare of the Year OATSEE, making her a full sister to G1 winner LADY JOANNE and a half-sister to multiple G1 winner SHACKLEFORD and to multiple graded stakes winner AFLEETING LADY. The immediate family also includes graded stakes winners BAGHDARIA, ATTICUS KRISTY, and CALCULATOR.

Hip 1214 was bred in Kentucky by AJ Suited.

Hip 1207, a colt by CANDY RIDE (ARG) sold for $170,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Maverick Racing from the consignment of Bluegrass Thoroughbred Services, agent for Merriebelle Stable.

This colt is out of HALF A. P., a PULPIT half-sister to Champion and multiple G1 winner HALFBRIDLED. The dam has produced three winners from as many to race, including graded stakes placed winner FULLY LIVING. The immediate family further includes G1 winners SPRUCE NEEDLES and MSHAWISH.

Hip 1207 was bred in Kentucky by Merriebell Stable.

Hip 1182, a colt from the first North American crop of Dubai World Cup (G1) ANIMAL KINGDOM sells for $175,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Quarter Pole Enterprises from the consignment of Michael & Julia O’Quinn, agent.

This colt is out of GOLDEN MEAN, a winning full sister to Canadian Horse of the Year and G1 winner PEAKS AND VALLEYS. That mare has produced three winners from three to race. The colt’s immediate family includes G1 winner FOREVER TOGETHER and graded stakes winners BROKEN VOW, ALTERNATION, and EQUALITY.

Hip 1182 was bred in Kentucky by Tony Holmes, Tim Thornton, & Walter Zent.

Hip 1180, a colt by UNCLE MO sold for $165,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Where Two Fools Met from the consignment of Denalid Stud, agent.

This colt is out of the stakes winning GOLDEN TOKEN mare GOLDEN DAMSEL. She has four foals to race, all winners, including multiple stakes placed winner INSTANT STYLE. He is from the immediate family of graded stakes winner MORLUCK and stakes winners IF IT’S MEANT TO B and FLASHING EYES.

Hip 1180 was bred in Kentucky by Avalon Farms.

Hip 1137, a filly by MAJESTIC WARRIOR sold for $150,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut filly was purchased by Loooch Racing from the consignment of Langsem Farm.

This filly is a half-sister to three winners out of the winning FOREST WILDCAT mare FLORAL PARK. Winners out of that mare include stakes winners DOUGS BUDDY and FLORAL SKY. This filly hails from the immediate family of G1 winner CHELSEY FLOWER ans graded stakes winner KENTUCKY DYNAMITE.

Hip 1137 was bred in Ohio by the consignor.

Hip 1116, a colt by Champion KITTEN’S JOY sold for $200,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by Barry Berkelhammer, agent from the consignment of Denali Stud, agent for Gallagher’s Stud.

This colt is out of an ELUSIVE QUALITY half-sister to graded stakes winner STRAIGHT STORY and current stakes winning millionaire STRONG SOUTHER. He hails from the immediate family of G1 winner and Broodmare of the Year TAKE CHARGE LADY, Champions WILL TAKE CHARGE and TAKE CHARGE BRANDI, and G1 winner TAKE CHARGY INDY.

Hip 1116 was bred in New York by Gallagher’s Stud.

This colt is a half-brother to two winners from as many to race out of the winning CHEROKEE RUN mare EXTRA SHARP. The second dam is seven-time G1 winner and multi-millionaire SHARP CAT. This colt hails from the immediate family of G1 winner ROYAL ANTHEM.

This colt is full or half-brother to three winners out of the graded stakes-placed winning HOLY BULL mare EXIT TO HEAVEN. That mare has produced a full winning full sibling to this colt in EVOLUTION, a three-time winner to date. The colt’s immediate family includes G1 winners QUEST FOR FAME (GB) and ARYENNE.

This colt is the second foal of the winning SMART STRIKE mare DESERT GAZELLE. Her first foal is AARDWOLF, a multiple winner at two this year in England. The colt’s third dam is multiple G1 winner SECRET STATUS, dam of multiple G1 placed sire DUNKIRK. His immediate family further includes G1 winners MARIA CANDELA (CHI) and MISS BRIO (CHI) and graded stakes winner ALUMNI HALL.

Hip 1034 was bred in Kentucky by Godolphin.

Hip 1013, a filly by BERNARDINI sold for $280,000 at The October Sale. The bay filly, named DANCING, wsa purchased by W.D. North Thoroughbreds, agent from the consignment of Bridie Harrison, agent for Peter Blum Thoroughbreds.

This filly is a half-sister to graded stakes winner DANCING SOLO. Their dam, DANCING ALONE, is an unraced full sister to multiple G1 winner VOODOO DANCER and half-sister to ZURI RIDGE, dam of G1 winner POOL PLAY.

Hip 1013 was bred in Kentucky by Peter E. Blum Thoroughbreds, LLC.

This colt is a half-brother to four winners out of the UNBRIDLED’S SONG mare CHARLIE MY GIRL, a half-sister to graded stakes winner MAGIC BROOMSTICK. The immediate family further includes graded stakes winners TWILIGHT TIME and MISS BEHAVIOUR.

Hip 862, a colt by two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN sold for $200,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Repole Stable (JJ Crupi, agent) from the consignment of Baccari Bloodstock, agent.

This colt is the first foal of the winning BLUEGRASS CAT mare BLUE CATILLAC. His second dam is stakes winner SWEEPING, dam of six winners, including APT TO STAR, the dam of graded stakes winner AEGEAN and stakes winner LIGHT BRINGER. His immediate family includes graded stakes winners I REJOICE, MILLENCOLIN, I’M A THRILLER, and NO ADVANTAGE.

Hip 862 was bred in New York by Rf HF Mares Rules #3.

Hip 861, a filly from the penultimate crop of two-time leading sire SMART STRIKE sold for $175,000 at The October Sale. The bay filly was purchased by Barry Berkelhammer, agent from the consignment of Eaton Sales, agent.

This filly’s dam is the stakes-placed winning POLISH NUMBERS mare BLOOMY, dam of five winners to date, including graded stakes winner PHILLY ACE, a full brother to Hip 861, and stakes winner SPRING OF FAME. Her second dam is LATE BLOOMER, Champion and multiple G1 winner, herself the dam of G1 winner ENDS WELL and graded stakes winner FRED ASTAIRE.

Hip 861 was bred in Kentucky by Brushwood Stable.

Hip 843 f. Violence-Be Fair ($145,000)

Hip 843, a filly from the first crop of G1 winner VIOLENCE sold for $145,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown filly was purchased by Old Hickory Farm from the consignment of Woods Edge Farm, agent.

This filly is out of the graded stakes winning EXCHANGE RATE mare BE FAIR. That mare is a half-sister to G1 winner and sire MACHO AGAIN. She has produced two winners from as many to race, including her current two-year-old A LUCKY DREAM.

Hip 843 was bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm, LLC.
