Hip 759 c. Orb-Zealous Gold ($300,000)

Hip 759, a colt from the first crop of Kentucky Derby (G1) winner ORB sold for $300,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Team D from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

This colt is out of the MEDAGLIA D’ORO mare ZEALOUS GOLD, a full sister to multiple stakes winner ONEPOINTHREEKARATS. The mare is also a half-sister to graded stakes winners FRIEL’S FOR REAL and RYAN’S FOR REAL, and stakes winner LITTLE THUNDER. The colt hails from the immediate family of undefeated Champion and seven-time G1 winner SONGBIRD, herself a half-sister to the dam of graded stakes winner MICO MARGARITA.

Hip 759 was bred in Kentucky by Fred W. Hertrich III and John D. Fielding.

Hip 574 c. Bodemeister-Stop the Wedding ($210,000)

Hip 574, a colt by freshman sire BODEMEISTER sold for $210,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Cicada Stable from the consignment of Woods Edge Farm.

This filly is the second foal of the winning CONGRATS mare STOP THE WEDDING. Her first foal is winning two-year-old of 2016 TWO TO ONE. The colt’s immediate family includes graded stakes winner OUTTA TUNE.

Hip 574 was bred in Kentucky by Robert B. Tillyer & Dr. Chet Blackley.

Hip 561, a colt from the second crop of G1 winner GEMOLOGIST sold for $290,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Mike Ryan, agent from the consignment of Four Star Sales, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to three winners from as many to race out of the winning CAPE TOWN mare STARLICIOUS. The second dam, CHEZ CHEZ CHEZ, is a stakes winner and stakes producer. The colt is from the family of multiple graded stakes winner THE MEDIC.

Hip 561 was bred in Kentucky by Graeme Lang.

 

Hip 551 c. Kitten’s Joy-Spent Gold ($170,000)

Hip 561, a colt by Champion KITTEN’S JOY sold for $170,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Michael Neatherland from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

This colt is a full brother to Champion BIG BLUE KITTEN, a four-time G1 winning earner of over $2,803,780 who set a course record in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic S. (G1) at Belmont. He is from the immediate family of Champion Stevie Wonderboy.

Hip 551 was bred in Kentucky by Renee Clark, Jeffrey Ramsey, & Kelly Ramsey.

Hip 428 c. More Than Ready-Ruban Bleu ($230,000)

Hip 428, a colt by Champion siring MORE THAN READY sold for $230,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by J. Stevens Bloodstock, agent from the consignment of VanMeter-Gentry Sales, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to three winners from as many to race out of the stakes-placed BROKEN VOW mare RUBAN BLEU. That mare has produced graded stakes-placed winner TIZNOW R J and winners BLEU BRAVE and TAKEONFORJOEY. RUBAN BLEU is half-sister to Horse of the Year in Hong Kong GOOD BA BA.

The colt sold hails from the immediate family of international Champions MIESQUE, SIX PERFECTIONS (FR), and RUMPLESTILTSKIN and G1 winners COMTESSE DE LOIR, SILVER SUPREME, and KINGMAMBO.

Hip 428 was bred in Kentucky by Olin Gentry & Gaines-Gentry Stallion Holdings.
