Hip 305 c. Paynter-Perfect Wave ($170,000)

Hip 305, a colt from the first crop of G1 winner PAYNTER sold for $170,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by SGV Thoroughbreds from the consignment of Buckland Sales, agen
CA, who is also graded stakes placed in the United States and Canada. He is from the immediate family of G1 winner DADS CAPS and graded stakes winners BOONE’S MILL, PAULASSILVERLINING, and CAPE HOPE.

Hip 305 was bred in Kentucky by Millennium Farms & Paynter Syndicate.

Hip 293 c. Curlin-Party Chatter ($350,000)

Hip293FTK10-16FTK16.jpgHip 293, a colt by two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN sells for $350,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by JSM Equine (Justin Casse, agent) from the consigned of VanMeter-Gentry Sales, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to no less than 10 winners from 10 to race out of the PLEASANT COLONY mare PARTY CHATTER. That mare is a full sister to Champion COLONIAL U. S., Graded stakes winner SILVER FOX, and stakes winner PLEASANT FEELING. The colt hails from the immediate family of G1 winners A PHENOMENON, SEATTLE METEOR, PLEASANT STAGE, MARSH SIDE, DECLASSIFY, and ROANOKE.

Hip 293 was bred in Kentucky by Fox Straus.

Hip 241 c. Speightstown-Nannycam ($155,000)

Hip 241, a colt by Champion SPEIGHTSTOWN sells for $155,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by Darrs, Inc. (James Bredin, agent) from the consignment of Gainesway, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to four winners out of the winning PULPIT mare NANNYCAM. His immediate family includes G1 winners DANISH (IRE) and AFRICAN STORY, and graded stakes winners ACE (IRE), HAWKEYE (IRE), CONTEMPORARY, ALDERBROOK, and TAHREEB.

Hip 241 was bred in Kentucky by John C. Oxley.

Hip 205 f. Medaglia d’Oro-Moment of Majesty ($180,000)

Hip 205, a filly by MEDAGLIA D’ORO, sire of Champion fillies SONGBIRD and RACHEL ALEXANDRA, sold for $180,000 at The October Sale. The bay filly was purchased by Keats Grove Farm from the consignment of Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.

This filly, registered as MEDALIADORA, is the first foal of multiple stakes winner MOMENT OF MAJESTY, by SAINT LIAM. That mare earned $630,269 in the course of her career, which included two stakes wins and eight stakes placing, two of those at the G2 level. She is from the immediate family of G1 winner and Champion FIJI (GB).

Hip 205 was bred in Kentucky by Regis Farms.

Hip 204, a colt by sire of Champions MEDAGLIA D’ORO sold for $300,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Alex & Jo Ann Leiblong from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

This colt is out of G1 winner MISTICAL PLAN, who has produced three foals of racing age to date, all winners. Her two-year-old of 2016 is the promising TAPIT colt BIG GRAY ROCKET. He hails from the immediate family of G1 winners DA’TARA and PRIVATE PERSUASION.

Hip 204 was bred in Kentucky by Blue Heaven Farm.

 

Hip 201 c. Tale of the Cat-Miss Shegaas ($150,000)

Hip 201, a colt by TALE OF THE CAT sold for $150,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown colt was purchased by Team D from consignment of Paramount Sales, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to two winners from as many to race out of the MEDAGLIA D’ORO mare MISS SHEGAAS. That mare is a half-sister to Canadian Champion, G2 winner, and multiple graded stakes winner KISS A NATIVE. His immediate family features G1 winner SILVER MAX and G1 winner and successful sire YES IT’S TRUE.

Hip 201 was bred in Kentucky by Shim Racing.

Hip 149 c. Ghostzapper-Malibu Cougar ($200,000)

Hip 149, a colt by Horse of the Year GHOSTZAPPER sold for $200,000 at The October Sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by Cary Frommer from the consignment of Summerfield, agent.

This colt is the second foal of MALIBU COUGAR, a full sister to multiple G2 winner KAUAI KATIE and graded stakes winner WINDING WAY. He hails from the immediate family of graded stakes winner CIMARRON SECRET and stakes winners MORE THAN PRETTY, INGRID THE GAMBLER, COJINX, and BALD WITCH.

Hip 149 was bred in Kentucky by Grace Thoroughbred Holdings LLC.

Hip 144, a filly by MALIBU MOON sold for $300,000 at The October Sale. The gray or roan filly was purchased by Fox Hill Farm via Tom McGreevy, agent from the consignment of Brookdale Sales, agent.

This filly is out of G1 winner MAGNIFICENT SONG, a daughter of UNBRIDLED’S SONG. Her immediate family features graded stakes winners PROD, LECH, SAVINA, RUNSPASTUM, and DEVIOUS INTENT.

Hip 144 was bred in Kentucky by Godolphin.

Hip 130, a colt by sire of Champions ARCH sold for $150,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Steven W. Young, agent from the consignment of Brookdale Sales, agent.

This colt is out of a SEEKING THE GOLD half-sister to G1 winner FANTASTIC LIGHT and G1-placed stakes winner HI DUBAI (GB). His immediate family further includes G1 winners LOVE SMITTEN, GORGEOUS, and SEASIDE ATTRACTION.

Hip 130 was bred in Kentucky by Godolphin.

Hip 90, a filly by sire of Champions TALE OF THE CAT sold for $150,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown filly was purchased by Stonestreet Stables from the consignment of Eaton Sales, agent.

This filly is a half-sister to two winners out of the graded stakes winning BOUNDARY mare LADY BELSARA. She hails from the immediate family of G1 winners GREGORIAN and CAPOTE BELLE, and graded stakes winners TRULY BOUND, BLOOD ROYAL, IVORY WAND, DELUTH, REAL COURAGE, and BARONESS THATCHER.

Hip 90 was bred in Kentucky by James McDonald, Reiley McDonald, & Paul Schwartz.

Hip 78 c. Uncle Mo-Klondike Hills ($205,000)

Hip 78, a colt by Leading Second Crop Sire UNCLE MO sold for $205,000 at The October Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Waves Bloodstock from the consignment of Mill Ridge Sales, agent.

This colt is out of the DEPUTY MINISTER mare KLONDIKE HILLS, a half-sister to multiple G2 winner and millionaire STRUT THE STAGE; graded stakes winner SACRED SONG, dam of graded stakes winner MULTIDIMENSIONAL; and winner BRAVE DESTINY, dam of graded stakes winner ALDOUS SNOW. Hip 78’s immediate family further includes two-time Horse of the Year and multimillionaire CHIEF BEARHART and Champion PRIVATE ZONE.

Hip 78 was bred in Kentucky by Jamm, Ltd.

Hip 32 f. Mineshaft-Jellicle (IRE) ($200,000)

Hip 32, a filly by Horse of the Year MINESHAFT sold for $200,000 at The October Sale. The dark bay or brown filly was purchased by Sweet Clover Stable from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

This filly is the second foal of the winning SUCCESSFUL APPEAL mare JELLICE (IRE). That mare’s dam is graded stakes winner CATBOAT, dam of multiple G1 winner and millionaire IT’S TRICKY. Hip 32 is a closely related to that relative, both fillies being sired by MINESHAFT.

Hip 32 was bred in Kentucky by Godolphin.
