Hip 581, Creative Cause-Henry’s Posse (Posse)

Hip 581, a chestnut filly from the first crop of G1 winner CREATIVE CAUSE sold for $240,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO in Training Sale. The filly was purchased by PTK, LLC from the consignment of Paul Sharp, agent. Hip 581 worked an eighth in 10:00 during the final session of the under tack show.

The filly is the first foal out of the winning POSSE mare HENRY’S POSSE. Her immediate family includes G1 winner PASSING SHOT and graded stakes winners AUCILLA, BIG JOHN, TAMISE, MOTIVADO, and QUIRINETTA. She was bred in Louisiana by David N. Meche & Perry Judice.

Hip 568, First Samurai-Grand September (Grand Slam)

Hip 568, a dark bay or brown filly by First Samurai, sold for $250,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Sterling Racing from the consignment of Casse Sales, agent. Hip 568 worked an eighth in 10:0 during the final session of the under tack show.

The filly was bred in Kentucky by Sun Valley Farm out of the GRAND SLAM mare GRAND SEPTEMBER. She is from the immediate family of G1 winners MASHAALLAH and FOLK ART and graded stakes winner GRASSHOPPER.

Hip 527, Into Mischief-Firey Glow (Smoke Glacken)

Hip 527, a gray or roan filly by INTO MISCHIEF, sold for $450,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Linda Rice, agent from the consignment of De Meric Sales, agent. Hip 527 worked a quarter in 21:2 during the final session of the under tack show.

The filly is out of the winning SMOKE GLACKEN mare FIREY GLOW, who has also produced NORMANDIA, a multiple stakes winning champion in Panama. Bred in Florida by Murray Stroud, Hip 527 is from the immediate family of G1 winner HER SMILE and graded stakes winner PROSPECTIVE RULER.

Hip 525, Ice Box-Fine Prospect (Meadowlake)

Hip 525, a colt from the second crop of G1 winner ICE BOX, sold for $250,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The chestnut colt was purchase by Charles J. Cella from the consignment of Robert Brewer, agent. Hip 525 worked an eighth in 10:2 during the final session of the under tack show.

Bred in Kentucky by Brian & Chantal Arnold, the colt is out of the MEADOWLAKE mare FINE PROSPECT. She has produced four runners to date, all winners. Hip 525 is from the immediate family of stakes winners RUSLANA, GOLDEN GALE, FLEET VALID, and IRISH JOY.

Hip 490, Uncle Mo-Dream Street (Tale of the Cat)

Hip 490, a filly from the second crop of champion UNCLE MO, sold for $1,000,000 at the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Chester Broman from the consignment of Pike Racing, agent. Hip 490 worked a quarter in 21:2 during the final session of the under tack show.

Out of the TALE OF THE CAT mare DREAM STREET, the filly is a half sisterto four winners, including G2 placed LASSOFTHEMOHICANS. Her immediate family including two-time champion HOUSEBUSTER, G2 winners QUERO QUERO, NICOLE H, and SOMETHING EXTRA, and graded stakes winner DEEP SLEEP. Hip 490 was bred in Kentucky by T.F. VanMeter, Gaines-Gentry Thoroughbreds, and Fox Strauss.

Hip 470, Unbridled’s Song-Dazzling Deelite (Afternoon Deelites)

Hip 470, a chestnut colt from the final crop of UNBRIDLED’S SONG, commanded $360,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Woodford Racing from the consignment of Kings Equine, agent. Hip 463 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the final session of the under tack show.

Out of the stakes placed winning AFTERNOON DEELITE mare DAZZLING DEELITE, the colt is a half brother to three winners, including graded stakes winner BEAR TOUGH TIGER. Bred in Kentucky by Town and Country Farms, Hip 470 is from the immediate family of two-time Canadian Horse of the Year L’ENJOLEUR and G1 winners AUBE INDIENNE (FR), MAJESTIC ROI, and MEDICI.

Hip 463, Speightstown-Czechers (Indian Charlie)

Hip 463, a dark bay or brown colt by SPEIGHTSTOWN, sold for $500,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by I.B.S. from the consignment of McKathan Bros., agent. Hip 463 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the final session of the under tack show.

The colt is out of the multiple stakes winning/multiple graded stakes placed INDIAN CHARLIE mare CZECHERS. Hip 463’s immediate family includes G1 winner WILLOW HOUR and graded stakes winners CHERRY JUBILEE, TRAVERSE CITY, and DERBY KITTEN. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Branch Family Trust.

Hip 461, Friesan Fire-Crafty Toast (Craft Prospector)

Hip 461, a bay colt by Maryland sire FRIESAN FIRE, sold for $825,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Crupi’s New Castle Farm from the consignment of Scanlon Training & Sales, agent. Hip 461 worked an eighth in 10:0 during the final session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half or full sibling to four winners out of the CRAFTY PROSPECTOR mare CRAFTY TOAST. Bred in Pennsylvania by Hope Hill Farm, Hip 461 hails from the immediate family of G1 winner OUR NATIVE, G2 winner TACITUS, and graded stakes winner GIVE A TOAST.

Hip 454, a chestnut filly by the late SMART STRIKE, sold for $200,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Xavier International Bloodstock from the consignment of Eddie Woods, agent. Hip 454 worked a quarter in 22:2 during the third session of the under tack show.

The filly is the first foal of the winning UNBRIDLED’S SONG mare CONSTRICTOR.  Bred in Ontario by Anderson Farms and John D. Fielding, the filly is from the immediate family of G2 winner BOSQUE REDONDO and graded stakes winner PIMA.

Hip 453, Speightstown-Conchita (Cozzene)

Hip 453, a gray or roan colt by champion SPEIGHTSTOWN, sold for $225,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Jerru Frankel from the consignment of Bobby Dodd, agent. Hip 453 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the third session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half brother to three winners from three to race out of the winning COZZENE mare CONCHITA, including graded stakes placed MUSIC CHART. He hails from the immediate family of G1 winners WHITE MOONSTONE and BETTER LUCKY, as well as G2 winners SAHARA GOLD and CASINO HOST. Hip 453 was bred in Kentucky by Alpha Delta Stables.

Hip 443, a bay colt from the first crop of classic winner UNION RAGS, sold for $240,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Erin Fein from the consignment of Niall Brennan Stables, agent. Hip 443 worked an eighth in 10:4 during the third session of the under tack show.

The colt is out of stakes winning EL CORREDOR mare CLASSIC NEEL and is a half brother to multiple stakes winner CONQUEST TSUNAMI. Bred in Ontario by Josham Farms and Yvonne Schwabe Thoroughbreds, Hip 443’s immediate family also includes stakes winners NICKEL CLASSIC, BUDGE MAN, PRETORIA LIGHT, and CRYPTIC MESSAGE.

Hip 408, a bay filly from the first crop of G1 winner STAY THIRSTY, sold for $210,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Charles J. Zacney from the consignment of Kirkwood Stables, agent. Hip 408 worked a quarter in 22:0 during the second session of the under tack show.

Out of the QUIET AMERICAN mare BUFFGIRL, the filly is from the immediate family of G1 winner ANOTHER REEF, G2 winner PRAYER FOR RELIEF, and stakes winners SIZZLIN SOUTH, SPARKLIN LIL, and TWIN SPARKS.

Hip 331, The Factor-You’re Beingplayed (Speightstown)

Hip 331, a bay filly from the first crop of G1 winner THE FACTOR, sold for $300,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Orin and Lee Ann Ingram from the consignment of Crupi’s New Castle Farm. Hip 331 worked an eighth in 10:2 during the second session of the under tack show.

The filly is the first foal of the winning SPEIGHTSTOWN mare YOU’RE BEINGPLAYED, a half sister to Canadian champion juvenile filly SPRING IN THE AIR. The filly’s immediate family includes G1 winners LADY ELI and PALACE EPISODE and G2 winners TEJANO RUN, CHANGING WAYS, PAYS TO DREAM, MORE ROYAL, and LAUGHING LASHES.

Hip 326, Giant’s Causeway-Win’s Fair Lady (Dehere)

Hip 326, a dark bay or brown colt by Horse of the Year GIANT’S CAUSEWAY, sold for $370,000 during the second session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Steven W. Young, agent from the consignment of Hartley/de Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent. Hip 326 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the second session of the under tack show.

Out of the multiple stakes winning DEHERE mare WIN’S FAIR LADY, the colt is a full brother to graded stakes winner FIRST PASSAGE. Win’s Fair Lady is a full sister to G2 winning millionaire GRAEME HALL and a half sister to G1 winner HARMONY Lodge and graded stakes winner WIN MCCOOL.
