Hip 289, The Factor-Tina’s Goal (El Corredor)

Hip 289, a dark bay or brown colt from the first crop of multiple G1 winner THE FACTOR, sold for $400,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by St. Elias Stables from the consignment of Crupid’s New Castle Farm. Hip 289 worked an eighth in 10:3 during the second session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half brother to four winners out of the winning EL CORREDOR mare TINA’S GOAL, including multiple stakes winner GRACER. Hip 289’s immediate family also includes graded stakes winners STRIKE A DEAL, BRASS SCALE, and VLADIVOSTOK.

Hip 247, Tapit-Starfish Bay (Elusive Quality)

Hip 247, a bay colt by two-time leading sire TAPIT, sold for $400,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by EQB, agent from the consignment of Eddie Woods, agent. Hip 247 worked an eighth in 10:3 during the second session of the under tack show.

Out of STARFISH BAY, a multiple stakes winner and multiple track record-setting daughter of ELUSIVE QUALITY, the colt’s immediate family includes graded stakes winners TOUCH LOVE and CRYSTAL MOMENT.

Hip 214, Creative Cause-Side Venture (Touch Gold)

Hip 214, a dark bay or brown filly from the first crop of G1 winner CREATIVE CAUSE, sold for $290,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Donato Lanni, agent from the consignment of Crupi’s New Castle Farm. Hip 214 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the second session of the under tack show.

The filly is half to three winners from as many to race out of the TOUCH GOLD mare SIDE VENTURE. Her dam is a half sister to graded stakes winner DENIS OF CORK, and her immediate family includes G1 winners PRIVATE PERSUASION and DA’ TARA.

Hip 173, Malibu Moon-Ricketyracketyruss (Borrego)

Hip 173, a chestnut colt by MALIBU MOON, sold for $275,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Hillwood Stable from the consignment of Bobby Dodd, agent. Hip 173 worked an eighth in 10:3 during the first session of the under tack show.

The colt is the first foal of the winning BORREGO mare RICKETYRACKETYRUSS. He hails from the immediate family of G1 winner ONE DREAMER and graded stakes winner BROKEN DREAMS.

Hip 170, Ice Box-Rey Lake (Meadowlake)

Hip 170, a colt from the second crop of G1 winner ICE BOX, sold for $200,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Hillwood Stable from the consignment of Wavertree Stables, agent. Hip 170 worked a quarter in 21:3 during the first session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half brother to three winners out of winning MEADOWLAKE mare REY LAKE, including stakes winner BESSIE’S BOY. His immediate family includes graded stakes winners GREAT ABOVE, MISS MACY SUE, ZANETTI, and CLASS INCLUDED.

Hip 163, Malibu Moon-Ready Willing Abel (More Than Ready)

Hip 163, a dark bay or brown daughter of Malibu Moon, sold for $200,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by George Weaver, agent from the consignment of Niall Brennan Stables, agent. Hip 163 worked an eighth in 10:3 during the first session of the under tack show.

This filly is a half sister to three winners from as many to race out of the MORE THAN READY mare READY WILLING ABEL. She hails from the immediate family of graded stakes winners SARAH LOUISE, JUST LOUISE, TIL FORBID, SCOOP, LOOKING COOL, HOLD OLD BLUE, CORAGIL CAT, MISTER MARTI FRAS, and CITY ATTRACTION.

Hip 162, The Factor-Ramblin Rosie (Roar)

Hip 162, a gray or roan filly from the first crop of multiple G1 winner THE FACTOR, sold for $510,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Stonestreet Stables from the consignment of Eddie Woods, agent. Hip 162 worked a quarter in 21:3 during the first session of the under tack show.

The filly is a half sister to two winners our of the winning ROAR mare RAMBLIN ROSIE. Ramblin Rosie is a half sister to multiple G1 winner BUDDY GIL. Hip 162’s immediate family included graded stakes winning sprinter ALSVID and stakes winners RISING WRITER, HODSON, and MARKETAL.

Hip 121, Curlin-Pathway to Heaven (Giant’s Causeway)

Hip 121, a chestnut son of two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN, sold for $225,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by George A. Mellon from the consignment of Bobby Dodd, agent. Hip 121 worked an eighth in 11:0 during the first session of the under tack show.

The colt hails from the immediate family of multiple G1 winning champion JEWEL PRINCESS and graded stakes winners COUP DE GRACE, GERRIE SINGER, GLOBALIZE, and MY PRINCESS JESS.

Hip 112, Malibu Moon-Our Fantene (Touch Gold)

Hip 112, a dark bay or brown daughter of Malibu Moon, sold for $500,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Steven W. Young from the consignment of De Meric Sales, agent. Hip 112 worked a quarter in 21:3 during the first session of the under tack show.

The filly is half sister to two winnings, including graded stakes winner JAVERRE. Her immediate family includes grades stakes winners AVIE’S FANCY and ST AVERIL. Hip 112 is out of the multiple stakes winning TOUCH GOLD mare OUR FANTENE.

Hip 52, Majestic Warrior-Lovestealer (Artie Schiller)

Hip 52, a bay filly by MAJESTIC WARRIOR, sold for $200,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The filly was purchased by Carla Gaines, agent from the consignment of Paul Sharp, agent. Hip 52 worked an eighth in 10:1 during the first session of the under tack show.

The filly is the first foal of the winning ARTIE SCHILLER mare LOVESTEALER. Her immediate family includes champion RAHY’S ATTORNEY and G1 winners TO HONOR AND SERVE and ANGELA RENEE.

Hip 21, Medaglia d’Oro-Kid Majic (Lemon Drop Kid)

Hip 21, a bay son of Medaglia d’Oro, sold for $600,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Rockbridge Bloodstock/Brett Santangelo from the consignment of Cary Frommer, agent. Hip 21 worked an eighth in 10:4 during the first session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half brother to two winners from two to race out of the LEMON DROP KID mare KID MAJIC, including multiple stakes winner MISS MISCHIEF and multiple winner TURNOVER. His immediate family includes G1 winning juvenile J P’S GUSTO, champion PROUD SPELL, and G1 winner IMAGINARY LADY.

Hip 19, a bay colt by champion BERNARDINI sold for $290,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Ray Willis from the consignment of Hartley/de Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent. Hip 19 worked an eighth 10:2 during the first session of the under tack show.

The colt is a half brother to four winners, including stakes winner BEAUTIFUL DANIELE. His dam, the STORM CAT mare KELLI’S CAT, is a half sister to multiple G1 winning champion COUNTESS DIANA.  Hip 19 hails from the immediate family of two-time Horse of the Year CURLIN.

Hip 6, Shackleford-Intentional Cry (Street Cry-IRE)

Hip 6, a chestnut colt from the first crop of multiple G1 winner SHACKLEFORD sold for $250,000 during the first session of the Midlantic 2YO Sale. The colt was purchased by Ben McElroy, agent from the consignment of Casse Sales, agent for Kinsman Farm. The colt worked an eighth in 10:0 during the first session of the under tack show.

Hip 6 is out of the unraced STREET CRY (IRE) mare INTENTIONAL CRY, whose dam is multiple G2 winning millionaire GOLD MOVER. The colt’s immediate family further includes G1 winners DANCE TEACHER, CAT MOVES, and HOOTENANNY.
