Increased Quality & Quantity at Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 598 entries for its Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, to be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 23-24, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland.

“The strength of this sale in recent years has once again generated a larger catalogue with increased quality across the board,” said Midlantic sales director Paget Bennett.  “Nineteen of the current top 20-ranked stallions on this year’s general sire list are represented in the catalogue.”

Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training continues to produce a high volume of stakes horses each year.

“In 2015 and so far in 2016, Midlantic Two-Year-Old graduates have won or placed in 115 stakes races to date,” Bennett continued.  “A larger catalogue, a dirt racetrack, and a tradition of graduate performance at the highest levels make this a sale that every serious buyer should plan on attending.”

The under tack show has been expanded to three sessions this year, to be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 17-19.  Each under tack show session will begin at 8:00 am.  The 141st Preakness Stakes will be held at nearby Pimlico on Saturday, May 21 and the sale will follow on May 23 and 24. Each sale session will begin at 10 am.

The catalogue may now be viewed online and will be available via the equineline sales catalogue app soon.  Print catalogues will be available by April 22.
